Through this service, Aguas y Riles S.A. assumes responsibility for the Operation and Maintenance of existing treatment systems, ensuring the plant’s proper functioning.

We provide the best team of professionals and technicians in O&M, safeguarding the processes, preserving the water cycle and supporting the client in their preventive and/or corrective needs.

We execute the Operation and Maintenance of drinking water plants in order to ensure the optimal functioning they require. Additionally, we provide the corresponding supplies for its purification.

 

 

 

 

 

We execute the Operation and Maintenance of waste water plants in order to ensure the optimal functioning they require by reducing or eliminating the presence of polluting elements. Additionally, we provide the corresponding supplies for its treatment.

 

 

 

 

 

We execute the Operation and Maintenance of liquid industrial waste plants in order to ensure the optimal functioning they require by reducing or eliminating the presence of polluting elements of industrial origin. We also provide the corresponding supplies for its treatment.

 

 

 

 

 

We execute the Operation and Maintenance of reverse osmosis plants in order to ensure the optimal functioning they require to achieve the desalination of water from various origins. We also provide the corresponding supplies for its treatment.

We have an Internal Lab for water sampling and analysis, which is ideal for determining which treatment plant will allow us to achieve optimal results and offer greater assurance in our services to clients. This allows us to maintain high quality standards and comply with the legal regulations in force. Likewise, we conduct independent analyses for the plants that acquire our Operation and Maintenance (O&M).

Design and Construction of Water Treatment Plants

 

 

 

 

 

 

We execute the Design and Construction of Treatment Plants for Drinking Water, Waste Water and Liquid Industrial Waste according to each client’s requirements. For this purpose, we have a specialized professional team that generates and counsels the comprehensive development of the entire project.

In order to guarantee the results of the treatment system, we offer our internal lab, which allows us to choose the best technological solutions for the type of effluent.

 

 

 

 

 

Infrastructure design that allows us to purify raw water in order to transform it in drinking water. This procedure includes pre-sedimentation, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation and disinfection or chlorination processes in order to achieve the physico-chemical and microbiological conditions required by the quality standard for drinking water for human consumption.

 

 

 

 

 

This facility allows us to reduce or eliminate at an acceptable level the presence of polluting elements in waste water for domestic or absorbable use, before discharging or dumping it in receptor bodies or effluents or reusing it in agriculture without risk of contamination.

Although there are standard treatments that can be used, the effectiveness of the procedures depends on each type of waste water. Some of the most common systems used are sedimentation, coagulation, flocculation and disinfection.

There are DAF (dissolved air flotation) systems, aerobic and anaerobic biological processes, followed by disinfection with chlorine or UV light applications, among others.

 

 

 

 

 

Industrial water that is the product of machinery manufacturing, processes or washing have a great load of organic and inorganic pollutants that must be subjected to a treatment system that achieves their elimination or reduction according to the regulations in force. For this purpose, Liquid Industrial Waste Treatment Plants (LIWTP) as well as WWPT allow us to reduce or eliminate at an acceptable level the presence of polluting elements in waste water with parameters higher than those permitted by the current regulations, so it can later be discharged or dumped in the receptor bodies or effluents, or reused in agriculture without risk of contamination. The types of effective treatments and equipment to be chosen depend on the type of LIW to be treated.

 

 

 

 

 

It is the facility designed for Reverse Osmosis, where solute is separated from a dissolution by applying a pressure higher than the normal osmotic pressure. This forces the solvent to flow through a membrane. In reverse osmosis, the size of the solute’s molecules is similar to the size of the solvent’s molecules.

This type of plant is very common for the desalination of water from various origins and produces water for human, industrial or agricultural consumption.

Industrial Waste Treatment

 

 

 

 

 

 

The effluents resulting from productive processes require treatment systems that allow reducing their pollutant load according to the regulations in force, safeguarding water and the environment. For this reason, we engage in the treatment of Liquid Industrial Waste (LIW) and Solid Industrial Waste (sludge) of primary and secondary nature, devoting our commitment to treating water with the best technology and in accordance with the legal regulations in force, along with our solutions for the Operation & Maintenance, Design and Construction of Water Treatment Plants (WTP).

The principle of On-Site Operations is that it allows leveraging the current facilities that the client has. This Business Model identifies the characteristics of the waste and facilities in order to define an improvement for the current treatment system without the need to redesign the entire system. It also allows combining our Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Dedicated Operations with Investment service proposals.

The principle of Off-Site Operations is that it allows developing the operations outside of the client’s facilities. This Business Model allows the waste to be treated directly at our plants, complementing the current treatment at the client’s facilities, whether partially or totally.

We handle the pick-up service for industrial liquid waste and transport it to our treatment plants, providing safe, efficient procedures with the required certifications.

This Dedicated Operations business model makes us responsible for the comprehensive management of all the processes related to water treatment, including construction with our own investment.

Aguas y Riles S.A. offers four modalities for Dedicated Operations with Investment. They are:

It is a modality designed for the client that has limited capital and cannot initiate the project’s construction works. In order to do so, the payment is made through a monthly rate, fixed or by volume, only after the system is implemented. The contract defines the period in which Aguas y Riles S.A. will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility. Then, once the period expires, the property is transferred to the client.

This modality has the same principle as the BOT modality, where the client has limited capital to develop the project. The difference is that the client decides not to transfer the plant, so Aguas y Riles S.A. proceeds with the Operation and Maintenance of the treatment system.

This modality intends for the client to acquire a functioning plant or one that is in project, handle the Operation and Maintenance, and once the contract is closed, it is transferred to the client.

Just like in AOT, the client buys construction or treatment systems that are already implemented and is responsible for the operation and maintenance. However, in this modality, the plant is not transferred to the client and remains under the operational responsibility of Aguas y Riles S.A.

Specialized Services for Water Companies

We provide permanent technical assistance and support, Operation and Maintenance for all the equipment that constitutes the WWTP, samplings in a certified lab, and transport and disposal of sludge according to the stipulations of Supreme Decree 4 (DS4) concerning sludge management and disposal. We also handle housekeeping and keep the plant’s infrastructure and perimeter in order and clean.

We provide permanent technical assistance and support, Operation and Maintenance of all the equipment that constitutes the DWTP, samplings in a certified lab, and compliance with the stipulations of Chilean Standard 409 (NCh409) concerning drinking water quality. We also keep the infrastructure and the perimeter of the plant in order, tidy and clean.

We provide maintenance for the operational control over the process and the correct functioning of each one of the units directly or indirectly involved in the drinking water distribution and waste water collection service in order to comply with sanitary service standards.

We execute the readings of the drinking water consumption meters for all the users of the network. Using the latest technology, we record and manage meter readings, bill distribution and meter registration, keeping a record and control of the possible offenses that may be generated.

We handle the company’s billing through our own computer system and also generate the corresponding physical and/or electronic bills.

In particular, this system is developed and certified according to the billing manual instructed by the Sanitary Services Superintendence (SISS). This allows us to set a standard and execute the service as if it were regulated by the Sanitary Service in order to perform an adequate billing.
